At American Cap Company, LLC, we have a strong reputation as problem-solvers. This capability is highlighted in the project shown here. A client in the mining industry was experiencing trouble with the cage guard on an integrated regulator valve. The device was not adequately protecting the valve assembly, and because harsh debris was allowed to infiltrate, there were many incidents of breakdown and premature valve failure. We quickly engineered and manufactured a custom solution that completely protected the valve to avoid any future episodes of malfunction that could disrupt mining operations or put workers at risk.

The valve guard we designed and built featured overall dimensions of 7.25” O.D. x 10.91” in height. We performed exhaustive engineering studies, including finite element analysis on a prototype, to ensure reliable in-field performance. Abiding by a critical timeline, we used our ingenuity to develop creative and cost-conscious strategies to scale up to production level manufacturing.

We utilized our prime resources to develop the best possible product for our customer.

Mining sites are characterized by hazards and harsh conditions. Every piece of equipment is subject to strict regulatory standards to protect workers and the environment.
